The pony walls are out as are the exisiting cabinets and bookshelves around the fireplace.
Fireplace area comes forward into the room, floor to ceiling, 12" and is finished in drywall painted in Benjamin Moore China White (Can be color matched by SW). New shelves on each side are stained in a deep red-brown to tie in with kitchen cabinets and new, darker stain on front door, coat closet door, basement door, handrail and stairtreds. Remaining trim and stair spindles are painted a tbd white.
Wall behind shelving next to fireplace is painted SW9168 Elephant Ear. Remaining living room walls are BM China White.
New custom cabinetry creates a television wall. Cabinetry is painted trim color (tbd). A hand-drawn detail elevation will be provided; cabinets will not look quite as shown.
If possible, 4 directional can lights are added, two at fireplace wall, two at tv wall.
Custom Bernhardt chaise sofa in a neutral fabric with accent pillows in coral and deep teal. Two side tables and a coffee table are added in a deep wood-stained finish. Matching brass lamps top the side tables.
Kincaid swivel chairs cozy up to the hearth, but can be rotated toward the sofa for larger groups. A brown, cream, and gray striped rug sits under the chairs and small, round, matching side tables snug next to them.
A new picture light accents your current Alaska photo above the new gas fireplace insert.
Sisal rugs trimmed in black are added under sofa, and at front door.
Non-operable draperies will flank each side of the window; two panels at each side. Ideally, they will match those you have in your kitchen. These will layer over 2" wide wood slate blinds, matching those elsewhere in the home.
A new console table with coordinating mirror will be added in a dark wood stain. Slender buffet lamps top the table.
Back wall of the stairs mirrors the wall behind shelves on the fireplace wall with SW9168 Elephants Ear.
SW9168 Elephants Ear runs into the dining room, above the chair rail. Chair rail and new panel moulding below is done in BM China White.
A new Kincaid round, extendable table is added, under a new chandelier. Four seagrass chairs with custom padded seats trimmed in coral embrace the table, while two additional chairs can stand next to each side of the window, in front of the new draperies. Draperies should match those in the kitchen and living room. Window will have 2" wood slat blinds.
A rug is recommended here, and can also be a sisal trimmed in black.
A narrow console is added to the long dining room wall with large mirror above, flanked by tall buffet lamps. Small original art in identical frames sit just outside the mirror edges.
One wall (current hutch wall), has three new narrow (6") plate shelves stained in the same finish as the shelves next to the fireplace. Teal and coral continue to be the accent colors.
Greenery will be added to each corner, flanking the entry into the living room from the dining room.
